Sopheap Dam is a New York–based artist of Cambodian heritage, born in Thailand. She discovered her passion for drawing at an early age, using art as a way to understand and express the world around her. Her creative journey took a defining turn when she met her first partner, a gallery owner in central London, who introduced her to the professional side of the art world. Through this experience, she developed a deeper sense of discipline, craft, and the realities of sustaining a creative practice.

Over the years, Sopheap has traveled widely, immersing herself in different cultures and artistic communities. These experiences have profoundly shaped her perspective, leading her to create work that reflects the intersections between thought, environment, and human emotion.

Rooted in her multicultural background, her art explores how our surroundings and inner landscapes inform who we are—and how they shape the futures we imagine. Blending personal reflection with universal themes, Sopheap’s work celebrates the beauty of cultural exchange and the shared human desire to find connection and meaning.
