Sophia (B. Sopheap Dam) is a New York–based artist working in minimal, process-driven abstraction. Her practice is informed by a cross-cultural background and a sustained engagement with material, rhythm, and spatial composition.

Working primarily with charcoal, ink, and oil, Sophia develops compositions that balance gestural freedom with structural discipline. Her work reflects an interest in repetition, interruption, and negative space as tools for shaping perception.

Alongside her studio practice, Sophia works within the fashion industry, where her fluency in visual language and form continues to inform her approach to abstraction. She also teaches private and semi private yoga classes on the weekend.
